"The Dream Catcher"
Somewhere in the haze of time,
hidden where I cannot find.
Mixed together old and new,
some from me and some from you.
I know they never shall return,
untouched by my deep concern.
Taken with no valid right,
like the dawn removes the night.
I don't believe I understand,
the purpose of this heartless plan.
Left in a pile of empty schemes,
because they've stolen all my dreams.
Perhaps I could begin again,
but can I face another end?
Weaker, slower than before,
rising up from off the floor.
And yet I cannot help but say,
tomorrow is a brand new day.
Hope surrounds the empty hole,
and faith it fills my aching soul.
Be careful, watchful, don't let go,
it's waiting if you didn't know.
Taking dreams without a care,
dream catcher is always waiting there.
And if you find a missing door,
one you know was there before.
Keep on walking till you till you find,
another dream, the brand new kind.
