Yes, there IS a Santa Claus. Excuse me? You don't believe? Shame on you! Says one of our own, StarzJC.
Only thing is, I'd be hard pressed to tell you what his horoscope chart looks like.
I have consulted with amateur and professional astrologers alike and none can agree as you can see from this abstract taken from many, many discussions.
JC: “He's a Capricorn because he loves to keep lists, he works hard and heads a mighty corporation with many, many employees. He wants every child to build a firm foundation of faith, trust and honesty and rewards them for it. But we run into a problem since Capricorn usually doesn't like to give much away and expect only token gifts like cookies and milk.”
AST 1: “He's a Sagittarius because he's a "jolly old elf" and we all know Sag's are jolly! They love to indulge in things, so that explains his wide girth. Forget that slender figure he would have had as a youth... the good life of cookies and milk at every stop would have put an end to his boyish figure.”
JC: “Okay, but what makes him a compulsive list keeper? ‘Makin’ a list, checking it twice, gonna find out who’s naughty or nice’…”
All I got in response was…
AST 1: “I was thinking of three possible Moon placements: Virgo, Capricorn or Aquarius… Then there’s the rising sign… I’m voting for Taurus.”
Another opined,
AST 2: “Maybe Gemini rising. Mischievous, boyish face and most important, agile and nimble for a big guy!”
JC: But what makes him a compulsive list keeper??????
AST 3: “Moon rules memory and habits. I vote Virgo. Compulsive list makers and double checkers.”
AST 4: Jupiter in Pisces for his gentle generosity, Mercury in Virgo for the precise list keeper, 10th house Sun for his big business. He’s a Capricorn like I’m a blonde (NOT!)
Then the world shook.
AST 4: Actually, Aries rising makes more sense. Only an Aries would commit a home invasion wearing a red suit! And Aries rising would do the daredevil rooftop entry in winter snow. Gemini rising would come through a window or backdoor like a good neighbor.
AST 3: I was thinking Taurus rising because of the physique…that full “chest” and his love of food.
AST 1: Virgo sun...he has to do it all himself... with Sagittarius rising, fun loving and possibly a gentle Libra moon, he is fair to all the kids.
JC: He has Virgo rising and a Gemini MC, of course!
AST 4: Even Aries gets fat in old age.
AST 2: Yes, but Aries would hold a grudge, Santa doesn't. The kid gets something Christmas morning, even if it is a lump of coal...
JC: How about this so far? I know it's impossible, but look at the planets rather than where they SHOULD be...
Santa Claus
Sun: Sagittarius or Capricorn (10th house)
Moon: Virgo, Capricorn or Aquarius
Ascendant: Taurus
Mercury: Virgo for a meticulous memory
Venus: Sag so that he loves everyone and loves to travel
Mars: Gemini for a gentle energy and a love of making toys
Jupiter: Pisces for generosity and to encourage holiday gift spending
Saturn: Aquarius makes him a good friend, responsible, impartial and always loyal.
Uranus: Gemini for an inventive mind
Neptune: Libra makes him diplomatic and peace loving
Pluto: Cancer for a protective manner in matters related to the "home".
AST 3:: “He's world famous, and has staying power in the famous department... no flash in the pan, this one!" Therefore, Jupiter conjunct the MC, IMO.”
AST 1: “Saturn may be up there too, since he takes his work so seriously, but it might also be in the 6th house, or perhaps ruler of the 6th.”
AST 2: :However, if he has Virgo rising, then most likely Aquarius would be on his 6th cusp, so we'd have to use the ancient rulerships or else he might have an intercepted house, in which case Cappy might possibly be on the cusps of both 5 and 6.”
JC: “If he was born at a very high latitude, then it's likely he has LOTS of interceptions, in which case, the house system means nothing. In fact, at the North Pole, everything is in one house...”
AST 1: “Wouldn't a 10th house Sag Sun do something similar to Jupiter on the Midheaven?”
