Tanzanite
Discovered in the late 1960s in Tanzania, and found exclusively in this tiny area of the world, tanzanite is a rich violet-blue color. Colors range from blue to purple, and tanzanites that are medium dark in tone and slightly violet blue can be very expensive. Since tanzanite can be less expensive than sapphire, it was often bought as an alternative to that stone. However, it has increased in popularity and now is valued more for its own beauty and brilliance than as a sapphire substitute. It is said to have the power to transform negative energies into positive ones, dispels lethargy and brings repressed feelings to the surface so that they can be expressed, the immune system, regenerates cells, and treats the heart, spleen, pancreas, lungs, head, throat, and chest. The stone is also a great detoxifier. It also has the ability to neutralize over acidification and reduce inflammation.
Zircon
