Today's Full Moon falls at 27º Aries 25' according to darkstarastrology.com. Aspect: Wide conjunct Eris opposite Mars square Pluto. Cardinal T- Square Alert. Fixed Star: Baten Kaitos. Tarot Card: 4 Of Wands. Healing Crystal: Hematite
This Full Moon is going to be fierce! A lot is going on with all the aspects, and we have the Moon plugging straight into that powerful T-square. However, there is at least a fearless Mars trine Jupiter that could lead us to victory. Ceres trine Mercury is also interesting in terms of using propaganda against the propagandists. Mercury gets some stability from Saturn as it makes a weak trine over to it in Aquarius.
Full Moon Astrology
The air signs have the edge for this Full Moon. There are three personal planets in Libra and Jupiter with Saturn are still in Aquarius. That T-square really kicks arse though! Cardinal squares go on the attack and don’t waste any time procrastinating. Mars square Pluto, whilst it is also trine Jupiter is REALLY interesting. Decan 3 Cardinal signs will have the challenges, but as we will see, like Andromeda, fate will spare them from the nasty sea monster. We must be brave and battle like Perseus, though!
Moon In Aries Decan 3
The Moon doesn’t gain any astrological power by its placement in Aries decan 3, and typically, the watery, vulnerable Moon is very awkward and even quite powerless in Aries. However, this Venus/Jupiter controlled decan still has a specific watery vibe because of all the marine stars found here. Feelings directed carefully and strategically can still make us effective in our dealings, even in the presence of these troublesome fixed stars.
Eventually, the Moon finds some rhythm and flow despite the challenges. Those touched by this Full Moon can then navigate through the more challenging events on their journey. Artists will learn to feel quite comfortable in Aries decan 3 since the deep lunatic vibes of this decan are something that the creative mind can genuinely flourish in.

So we must have some artistic outlet to release our creative fire at this Full Moon. Again, similar to the Sun in Aries decan 3, we will indeed have to play out our ever-changing moods to spectators. Our volatile feelings can make for an enjoyable drama.

The Tarot card associated with this decan is the Four of Wands which is associated with reunions, returning home, community and celebrations. The effect of jovial Jupiter is clearly felt with this card, as are the close ties of star Alrisha and the religiosity of Acamar.
So despite the monstrous influence, karmically, this position is generally a positive one. The fortune could be a reward after a few lifetimes of dedication and deferred gratification.

Fixed Star Baten Kaitos
Baten Kaitos is found in the sea monster Cetus. Neptune sent this great whale (As some myths see him) to devour the chained princess Andromeda. King Cepheus sacrificed the poor mite to appease an angry Neptune. Cassiopeia (Andromeda’s mother) vainly boasted to Neptune that her daughter was far more beautiful than any of his sea nymphs. So Andromeda was chained to a rock, but eventually, brave Perseus stepped in to rescue her.
The “epic proportions” of this decan are most potent here. According to Robson, Cetus, the constellation in general, “is said to cause laziness and idleness, but to confer an emotional and charitable nature, with the ability to command, especially in war. Makes one amiable, prudent, happy by sea and land, and helps to recover lost goods.” He goes on to say that Baten Kaitos “gives compulsory transportation, change or emigration, misfortune by force or accident, shipwreck but also rescue, falls and blows.”
The Chained Princess
Elsbeth Ebertin is even more negative .. ” The Whale really means “monster”. The Saturnine properties, such as inhibition, reserve, caution, solitude and simplicity are often forced onto such people, either by a mundane power or a higher power.

For some reason, I think of Greta Thunberg for the energy of Aries decan 3. The black gold (oil) theme is strong, with her concern over carbon emissions. Plus, Greta has quite pushy parents behind her. (Shades of Cassiopeia).
The Tarot card meaning shows this decan is not half as threatening as it seems initially. I always say that T-squares are diamonds in disguise, and when we transform them, they are way more formidable than any grand trine.
Having said that, there is a nice mix of trines and squares, which is kind of like Mars and Venus. So the Sun/Moon opposition of Aries/Libra also makes us think of love. Perseus battled a sea monster and ended up marrying the princess.

This stone is perfect for giving us the bravery of Perseus, and it will help ground us when the media is hysterical.
Black stones provide us with protection while at the same time absorbing the negativity of others. Hema is a prefix that means ‘blood’. (as in haematology) which stems from the Greek’ haima’. So, of course, this crystal strengthens and regulates the blood supply and fires up the blood in our veins. Hematite helps with willpower and compulsions. This crystal will help bring stability and equilibrium to the rough seas of Aries decan 3.
Full Moon Summary
Whales are funny creatures because they are huge and scary yet at the same time gentle giants with cute faces. Whales symbolize protection, gratitude, wisdom, collective consciousness and psychic abilities. Whales are holders of history and signify very deep emotions.

So courage is needed with this Full Moon, and it is there to take with Mars on lucky Arcturus. (Brings gain and popularity but can be extravagant.) Let’s not forget Eris in all this; she is still square Pluto. So the dark mother (Again controlling, nanny-state Cassiopeia) archetype is active. As I speak in the UK, we have problems with oil supply to our petrol stations.
The media generated a frenzy about lorry driver shortages (How?), so everyone went into panic buying mode, and now my local station is shut. It seems to be playing right into the new green agenda and scarcity narrative. This is also the closest Full Moon to Halloween. There have been hints at power cuts too. Dark times indeed. Keep a stock of candles handy!
