In the Northern Hemisphere it's getting hotter and hotter and the best way to cool off is with an ice cold glass of lemonade. Here, from realsimple.com we find recipes for lemonade with a twist.
Basic Lemonade
Serves 4 (makes 4 cups) - Hands-On Time10 min - Total Time10 min
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 6 lemons)
DIRECTIONS
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and ½ cup water. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved; let cool.
In a pitcher, combine the syrup with the lemon juice and 2½ to 3 cups water.

Thyme & Lime Lemonade
Serves4 - Hands-On Time10 min - Total Time1 hr 10 min
INGREDIENTS
10 fresh thyme sprigs, plus sprigs for serving
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
3 cups store-bought lemonade or Classic Lemonade
3/4 cup vodka (optional)
DIRECTIONS
In a pitcher, using a wooden spoon, mash the thyme with the lime juice.
Add the lemonade and refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to 1 day.
Add the vodka, if using.
Serve over ice and garnish with the thyme sprigs.
Frozen Blueberry Lemonade
Serves4 - Total Time5 min
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2cups blueberries
1 cup lemonade
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
DIRECTIONS
In a blender, puree the blueberries, lemonade, mint, confectioners’ sugar, and 3 cups ice until smooth.
Serve in chilled glasses and garnish with mint sprigs.
