"Self-comforting"

Featuring as always hosts, Natalie AKA StarzCast (Owner, founder CEO of Starz and affiliates) and myself, Maya AKA StarzMayaMoon. Everyone adores Natalie, her compassion, insights and wisdom; however not everyone has the voice and the energy to truly excel with radio it does take a special talent. Which of course Natalie certainly possesses, her own style and she share those gifts with knowledge, humility, enthusiasm and sheer honesty. Natalie has that lovely tone that just really does captivate the audience. And if you think we are biased, well perhaps we are, HOWEVER~~ watch the homepage for updates as Natalie has been selected and participated in several interviews and similar guest radio appearances on some very popular and well known stations that have followings and/or listeners well into the thousands!! How exciting for Natalie and for all of us affiliated with Starz!
This topic will be a two-part series as there is so much to cover and we barely scratched the surface last evening.
The main focus from our input seemed to be that all humans have patterns, habits or follow some type of behavior modification that offers a form of self-comfort. For many of us we may not even be aware that an act or even a repetitive action is actually intended as comforting.
From snuggling up in our favorite blanket to being lost without that first cup of morning coffee, there are many habits we form that are intended to assist us in offering comfort and reassurance, even the habit itself can become comforting!
We vaguely discussed that at times humans can become involved or begin patterns that may originally be soothing or comforting but have the potential to change or shift and suddenly what was positive becomes negative. When we consider the many or numerous ways in which we can self-soothe or comfort at some point we need to be accountable to that desire and even more so to the completion or action of such.
As we did discuss, for many of us food is and likely always will be a source of comfort and a self-reward. But for those with medical issues, often times food ends up becoming a battle and can affect our self-image not to mention our physical health.
So join us as we gather again next Monday to talk more intimately about "self-comfort" and how it can empower us or in contrast create conflict in our image and energy.
