First, let me say I will be focusing on Smokey, although of course it’s a quartz, so there is a bit more. I’m not getting real deep in quartz as it is a “very” deep subject, as well as many varieties, configurations and so forth. A few of my friends have asked what to use because some of the issues they have been dealing with. They are found worldwide and they are very easy to get. My only caution here is be careful with some types as they have been heat treated or microwaved and yes, that does alter the properties of the crystal. Smokey is commonly known as being a grounding stone, but I very seldom hear anyone speak of its other qualities. It is an energy generator, it purifies energies, it also pushs out negative energy and pulls in positive energy. Those who work with Fairies would love working with this stone, it also works very closely with your personal intentions. This stone gives stability, it helps us to accept the body and the earth plane. Quartz stones in general symbolize resurrection and rebirth. Quartz is the most powerful healer and amplifier on the planet. This stone absorbs , stores, releases and regulates energy. In fact its planets are the Sun & Moon, its elements are fire & water, and that is saying a lot. Even by the ancients teachings quartz has been used in religious and shamanistic systems for thousands of years. This stone was commonly used in rite and spells, also ceremonial wands were topped with it. The Cherokee shamans acknowledging the crystals power, kept it wrapped in buckskin. This is a common stone that is in a shamans power bag or medicine bundles. In shamanistic terms the crystal is the shaman and the shaman is the crystal. There are many cultures and time periods that are recorded about this crystal. It helps us with awareness, and to accept ones place here. It is known to assist with and possibly heal fear, depression, obsessions as well. It has an invigorating power and gives you the determination you may feel you lack. Spiritually this crystal raises your energy to the highest possible level. It works on all levels and all bodies. It is great for meditation as it helps to keep out distractions. Quartz in general is called The Master Healer. 😊
