This is a form of Beryl, it is known as a stone of new beginnings. It assists us with compassion, forgiveness, generosity and self-confidence. It increases our charitability one towards another. Chrysoberyl both opens and activates the crown chakra, it gives us the energies to go further and further into our spirituality. This mineral increases our own personal power and spirituality. It brings together the energy of the solar plexus with the crown chakras. With the solar plexus being the home of our personal will and power, also being the clearing house for the emotions this stone strengthens us on all levels. It elevates our self-worth, self-esteem and self-confidence. It assists us as well with peace of mind which makes it a good choice for meditation. It comes in a few different colors, adding their own attributes to the basics. Two varieties of chrysoberyl are alexandrite and cymophane, so anyone wanting to use this stone may research these two stones in addition to the above. Again, it brings the feeling of peace in the physical body itself and the mind, helping us to also be charitable to ourselves as well as others. Many people I have met have a problem with this, thinking they are not worthy of doing things for themselves, this is an excellent stone for them to work with and on the subject , especially Alexandrite which opens the intuition and metaphysical abilities. It also creates a stronger will, it even helps to rebuild our own self-respect. I feel everyone is “worth” this, everyone deserves to believe they are just as important as the next person.
