I love this stone because it is one that is very straight forward and gets to the root of any situation straight away, the blunt truth so to speak. Obsidian although it is a cool stone comes from the very heart of volcanos, from the magma, which is extreme heat. The energy it emits makes it a sacred, magical stone. There are many types of obsidian and of course each adding its own attributes to the basics. This stone is molten lava and is associated with the volcanic Goddess Pele’. It is a stone that is limitless and nothing is held back. It works with very quick speed and very strong power. It is known for enhancing and exposing flaws, blockages and weaknesses. With this stone “nothing” can be hidden. It pushes us to grow and gives us plenty of support to do so. If you are new to crystals and wanting to grow by clearing out what is no longer needed to make room for the growth, I suggest you finding someone that works with crystals, especially this one, so that they may help with the guidance. This stone provides deep soul healing. Obsidian assists in going back into past lives to heal emotions, traumas and maybe someone else’s karma that may not have been yours, but that you have been carrying for them. This is an extremely protective stone, it is a shield against negative energy, it even blocks psychic attacks and helps to remove negative spiritual influences. It may draw out mental stress and tension, as well it may bring up the reasons for the stress and tension. When you see and know the reasons it is important to deal with them so that peace may return. There is so very much to this (these) stones, I may write more tomorrow on them as well.
