Rhyolite is in the Jasper family. At one point it was said that jaspers were considered to be “the mother of stones”. Rhyolite fires up the potential and creativity of the soul within everyone. It raises our energy to the point of breaking through our barriers of the mind, to ultimately reach the stage of transcendental, the state of just “knowing”. It helps to strengthen the body and the mind. It is one of the stones that helps us learn and reach self-realization. It assists us to process “things” from the past, opening the way for the future, but it also helps teach us to stay in the “moment”, to appreciate it, and to live it instead of just letting it pass us by. Rhyolite strengthens our energy flow, it also helps to release stress, it is protective as well as being nurturing. It is a kind and compassionate stone and passes that onto us. This stone also assists us to open karmic “wisdom”. It is a fantastic stone for meditation and assists us with inner and outer journeys, so it helps us learn of our true selves. It assists us in strengthening our self-esteem and self-worth, as well as helping us to respect our true selves. It is wonderful for helping to keep our emotions balanced, when it’s appropriate to release our emotions to do so gently. Anyone that is an empathy or a sensitive picks up on a very pleasant sensation while holding this stone. A calm feeling creates a sense of generosity also a humble feeling within ourselves and towards others. It allows us to feel compassion and patience, who doesn’t want to feel that?. It works mainly with the heart. It is also known as a shamans stone for connection with all of creation, especially nature and the Earth Goddesses. To me, it is a very kind stone with so much energy packed into it, and helps with so many things, it is well worth having. 😊
