"Accepting life's risk"

Another great topic and one that feels so relevant to our challenges in today's world and our quest for happiness.
From starting a new business to falling in love and marriage truly all we do in life that has value also has risks. We are all naturally born with an internal monitoring system that keeps us from taking unacceptable risks; such as jumping off a cliff into a small stream. So of course there are calculated risks or those risks which are not worth the reward or potential benefits and/or outcome.
When we look at humans and risk taking however, we find that many of us become stuck in a place where we are unable to flourish or rise to our potential due to fear of such risks. Those blocks or walls although they may feel comforting and seem to protect and guard us in reality often keep us chained to the past or unable to move forward.
All that waits in the future takes risk as we know that life simply does not guarantee outcomes and to some degree as Natalie pointed out even a Sunday drive, errand or crossing the street carries risk.
As always Natalie was able to draw a picture for our listeners by sharing her significant transition from a cosmetologist doing hair to taking a great financial and spiritual risk. And that is what finally evolved into the "Starz" we now know and love. As an expert and also a host on the show since its inception I can truly say that not only is Starz an amazing energy of love and light, but that is radiated from Natalie. And Natalie as she always gives totally from her heart and never holds back from pride but shares in a humble and honest way, took us through her journey. By relating or imagining making such a huge and profound change not only of career but investing in her, we learn that risk is so very necessary to reach the highest potential.
In relationships as both Natalie and I agreed, it can become much more difficult to overcome our fears especially if we carry experiences that have caused pain or grief. Although we should always follow our hearts and instincts, love may require or be the biggest risk we take in life but also has the potential for the highest reward. And we cannot love part way, half way or without risking that something could go awry and that as humans we cannot guarantee a forever outcome.
It truly comes down to our ability to have faith, to follow our heart and to believe in our self and our right to the future. We will always fail or make mistakes but better to have tried and fallen that to always sit on the sidelines watching the world pass you by. That is a risk in which you never feel the amazing connection love offers, the pride of a career, education or job that you have envisioned and worked towards. As Natalie also reminded us we have to believe and envision ourselves with that higher outcome or that dream that finally becomes our life. I referred to that as empowerment and really it is combination of empowerment, identity, faith and hope. And not always in what may lie ahead as we all will struggle and among the rewards, benefits and abundance challenges do arise. But if we face the risks and take those risks we will never be disappointed in all that we can attain and achieve.
Life is a risk always, and it is within that or those risks that our true happiness, path and purpose await.
