As you can see, Jade is located in many places. Remember when I wrote an article on Jasper?, well, Jade considered a jasper as well. Jade has so many attributes that I really do hope that you do further discovering of this stone on your own. It is a stone known for wisdom, cleansing, long life, good luck and practical ideas. In China it is an “ emblem of perfection”, it is known and used in many, many cultures. Its element is water, which represents the emotions and is very much known for all facets of Love. This is known as the stone of Buddha, also, Kwan Yin. Also known for its healing properties, it is known for prosperity and money as well. There are many colors or varieties of Jade, often it is confused with Nephrite which is more easily obtained. There is even a blue/green jade that favors the look of turquoise. Jade is a symbol of purity, spirituality, and works very closely with the heart chakra. It increases nurturing, caring and love within ourselves, for ourselves and others. The Hopi Native Americans were also known to work with Jade. Jade is known as a “love attracting stone”, so many whom feel that they are ready, this would be a good choice to work with in trying to attract a mate. In China, the groom would always present his bride with a piece of jade. But also, emotionally Jade is known as a dream stone. Many cultures have said sitting with a piece of jade on your head brings insightful dreams. It gives us a respect for our oneness with all that is in life, while also giving us a sense of hope as well as strength and serenity, it stabilizes our personalities. Best of all, it encourages us “to be” who we truly are. It will awaken hidden knowledge and other attributes we have within ourselves. I was fortunate enough to get several pieces years ago which came from a mine in China in 1943, I gifted many of them out, but saved several for myself. It truly is a stone of love, wonderment, and just knowing.
