She does this to find herself and fulfillment. She's questing.
What for? The easy answer is herself. Though perhaps, it's more than that.
I contend that she knows herself well. Perhaps she's searching for her community? Or perhaps she's found it and going there?
Whatever the reason, you know she's leaving. She may be back. Or she may never return. That depends on her and on the community.
Maybe the journey will change her. I can't imagine it wouldn't but you never know.
Maybe she'll find love. Or maybe she's found love already and is going to meet her loved one.
Maybe it won't change a thing about her. That's up to her to decide.
Will she hold on to her former community? I hope not! It'll all be for nothing if she can't let go.
Will she embrace her new community? I hope so!
You know that questing leaves a mark. Even if the mark is, "I'm glad to be back in The Shire again!"
It's hard to fathom questing for anything and not being changed by the quest. Experience is sometimes the only teacher.
You must go to the experience. It won't come to you!
Today, ask yourself what experience or community you're questing for? Why are you leaving your home?
What will you find? Who will you meet? What will you do with your new community once you find them?
Will you write home about it? Will you share the experience with anyone outside your new tribe?
Regardless of what you find, you the quest will change you. Are you ready for that?
Don't let nervousness stop you from going. Be brave and bold! Be nervous and excited-be nervicited!
It's scary being on your own alone. But you won't be alone for long!
