"Finding closure; the art of letting go"
Part 5

Continuing the journey; recovery, healing and finding balance.

As mentioned in parts 1-4, closure and the art of letting go is a process and not a neither magical nor instantaneous energy nor state of being that we can attain with the snap of our fingers. Even once we have learned to comprehend and embrace the "art" of letting go, acceptance and closure from within the steps are still necessary and none of us are immune to that navigational process. Of course just as all individuals vary in all of life and the challenges presented, we can and do vary in how we move through these steps and the exact timeline differs with each of us based on our own individuality but also on the circumstances and/or relationship that led to a need for closure or learning to release, let go and move forward.

So although the steps of this process retain their order regardless, the time spent and the ease or difficulty of each transition is always a unique and individual experience.

Recovery is for the most part the last of the process of dealing closure, letting go or releasing and the outcome becomes the future. Within that recovery and the steps towards the future are not just our literal steps, but how we rebound and recover and to what degree or influence such experience or events has remained within or a part of being/self/core.

Although ideally the goal would be to fully rebound and recover and to almost be able to erase the affects or influences that these experiences or obstacles created within our spiritual and human self and life in general. However the flip side to totally erasure is that each of the events, the interactions, relationships and circumstances we face help to create that which we are and also that which we are intended to be.

So as my guides have shared and many or most of us already understand, each of the details of our life, path and journey all help to shape and mold us, our self-view, image and confidence, our world-view and the potential we are able to see, manifest and create in our lives'.

So to begin recovery; we must have fully and totally managed to get past all the hurdles of rebounding. As fully outlined in part 4, rebounding is the process and ability to more or less push the "reset" button, so that we are not victims, nor are we tied to the energy of whatever originally occurred. Although rebound and reset does imply being returned to our original state of being and all that goes along with such, it should be mentioned that there will be some minor shifts. And even at times the shifts can be significant or profound however if we have progressed successfully these changes are serving of our greater good, therefore they are empowering and align us with faith and trust. And not just faith/trust in general but most especially with self, and helping us to avoid falling into various pitfalls or labeling, putting all similar scenarios into one giant box.

We can look at the state or the energy/mood or emotional and spiritual existence within recovery as synonymous with healing. If we use a physical injury as an analogy; one who has broken their arm for example; no matter how the break or injury occurred, many if not most of us tend to relive that memory in some futile attempt to understand how it happened and what we could or should have done to avoid it. At some point we then move into acceptance, we realize that no matter how or what could or should have been, our arm is broken and there is absolutely nothing to be found in the past (the unfinished business, the art of releasing) that can or will change or undo our broken arm. We usually wear a cast so that the bone is able to heal properly and also to protect the arm during its fragile state. The time we wear a cast often varies depending on our immune system and the exact type and location or bone broken. So, just as the process spiritually and emotionally varies in the time frame, the symbolic "broken arm" is individual as well. The next step, rebounding, is our ability to begin to move past the broken arm and rather than defining our life or placing unnecessary limits because of the cast or broken arm, we instead begin to at time even forget. We are still limited to a point (not yet having reached recovery state) so we experiences moments of distress or annoyances as there are some limitations. We also begin to reinvest in faith and hope; using the broken arm analogy; the first week or so, or immediately following the injury we are often very sensitive to whatever action or event caused this. Some of us may even have our sleep disturbed, dreaming or having nightmares that surround or involve the broken arm. So the "rebound" period is the time we are able to come to terms with what is, but also envision the time/date when the cast is removed and although we can never "unbreak" that arm, for the most part we can return to a normal life, relatively unchanged other than whatever necessary lessons may have been needed and any other positive shifts that serve our greatest or highest good/self.

When we then proceed to recovery or healing; again using the "broken arm" this would be the time the cast is removed and we are given the freedom to use our arm as before. So all restrictions have been lifted, and there is no longer a need to make adaptions or concessions because of the break. The bone is healed, recovered and many orthopedic doctors and surgeons claim that a broken bone when fully healed is often stronger than prior to the break. It is also at this time we are able to separate the event (the cause of the break) from our energy, so that we are not fearful of a repetition, and if we have been successful in our process we are able to push that "reset" button, so that we can see, feel and interpret that arm, once broken and now healed the same as the other arm. We are not bound by what ifs and we are not held back from pleasurable activities because of the memory, pain or any other negative emotion associated with the circumstances.

We should of course point out, that in the scenario where a break occurred due to negative intentions, carelessness or ignoring obvious signs that something significant was quite likely to occur, some changes or some fear is positive.
And the same can be said of the spiritual and emotional recovery and healing process in closure and the art of releasing or letting go. And that is what is meant by we can be changed, or adjusted, or perhaps an important life lesson has been learned by the outcome regardless of its cause. So again for example if you broke your arm jumping off a cliff that had large signs warning of the dangers of broken bones from the jutting rocks below, it is positive to fear repeating that scenario. However true recovery and healing also means that we do not lump all jumping or even cliff diving into the same category. We are able to separate that which is truly risky and dangerous from that which is or can be fun and an adrenaline rush.

Spiritually recovery and healing are identical or reflective of the same type of discovery, patterns and being careful not to block ourselves from ever loving again, or apply for a job, or whatever risk was taken. So while we cannot undo what has been done, recovery in its pure and true form also unites us with faith and hope and the intention and desire to continue that path or journey to seek the desired outcome. And any changes or healthy fears are those that come from the lesson, that if such had been in place or heeded originally we would not have suffered or gone through this process.
But life is always filled with adversity; and as we navigate these paths, overcome obstacles and learn through experiences we develop our spiritual energy and restore our full emotional capacity and when the greatest good emerges, we are equipped to pursue our potential in all ways.

Therefore recovery becomes the new and improved "you". The memory or experience becomes a part of who we are, yet it does not define us. Our journey and our future is only made greater and faith and hope can and should be not only fully functional but often restored or having risen to an even higher energy or level. We may have incurred a lesson, but again this only serves our greater and highest good and empowers us greatly with the ability to see beyond the past by releasing it and to live in the now, while also embracing the amazing potential the future always offers.
We are reminded that although fate, destiny and Karma do exist, it is our free will and choice that ultimately define and create who we are and that which we are yet to be.

Next; the unification, balance and harmony that finalizes our process and existence.  ~
