When you get on your computer or laptop or tablet or cell do you, just for one moment, consider that you are actually capable of touching millions of people all over the globe? It's a wonderful thought that can be scary at the same time!
The computer age has changed the way we look at ourselves and our surroundings. We have the equal of the ancient Library at Alexandria at our fingertips. We have untold influence and a vast audience at our disposal. It's mystical if you think of it the right way.
But what are you going to do with all of this power at your disposal? Will you use it for good or for ill?? Will you reach out and help others or spoof and spam them? That's THE question of the new millennium.
No one knows why some people feel they need to do harm using this most marvelous of inventions. It's difficult to understand why hackers do what they think is fun ruining life for others. These are not stupid people... they couldn't be and manage to do the things with their computers they can do. Misguided? Oh, yes! Malicious? Some are, yes. Oh, and let's not forget the sick souls who are bullies and hurt people by calling them names or spreading malicious gossip about them! What drives them? Will we ever know?
And those who reach out and help others using their PCs and notebooks and tablets? What about them - the kind souls who feel the pain and do something constructive? We must be grateful for the many who try to make up for civilization's oversight and sins. We can support and encourage and even join with those evolved beings and help spread kindness and love over the world.
