ARIES: March 21 - April 19
"You screwed up." Aries hates making a mistake. This ram sign prides themselves on getting things right the first time and being naturally good at almost everything. Telling them they've gotten something wrong will put them in a defensive mood (and since they're ruled by the warring planet Mars, they aren't afraid to fight back) and make them question their worth. A self-doubting Aries is not a pretty sight.
TAURUS: April 20 - May 20
"You're not funny." Taurus uses humor as an icebreaker and a way to level the playing field. By cracking a joke (usually at their own expense), these bulls are creating an atmosphere of warmth and good vibes. Telling them their jokes aren't funny is like saying their entire method of human interaction is flawed. It will make Taurus defensive and distrustful of you.

"You don't know what you're talking about." Um, yes. Yes, they do. Gemini is likely one of the most well-read and fully informed members of the zodiac and when they step up to the plate to discuss something, they're armed with facts. Questioning their intelligence will only backfire on you because Gemini also has a terrifying temper when provoked.

"You try too hard." Basically, you're telling a kind-hearted, people-pleasing Cancer they're "extra." These sensitive crabs go out of their way to help the people they care for and by making them feel like their efforts were in vain, you're knocking them right in their soft underbellies. Also, they'll literally never help you again, so there's that.
LEO: July 23 - August 22
"You're not talented." The quickest way to extinguish the fire inside a Leo is to tell them they're not good at something. Since this sign is hypercritical of themselves and sensitive to other people's judgment, they're not only likely to believe you, but feel like crap, too. If you want to give this lion sign constructive feedback, let them know what they do right before gently mentioning areas of improvement.
VIRGO: August 23 - September 22
"You're crazy." Do not poke at fire if you don't want to get burned. Virgo is an incredibly emotional sign that works hard to keep their feelings under wraps in order to function in the world. Calling them mentally unstable isn't just cruel, it hits them on a personal level and makes them feel judged, which is a surefire way to trigger an outburst from this occasionally hot-headed sign.
LIBRA: September 23 - October 22
"You're not that good-looking." Dagger to the heart! Libra tries so hard to look their best every day and is incredibly sensitive to criticism about their appearance. While there are many things you could say to hurt a Libra, telling this passionate sign they aren't attractive is one of the absolute worst.
SCORPIO: October 23 - November 22
(Silence.) The worst thing you can ever say to a Scorpio is nothing at all. Ghosting or ignoring them is more upsetting than staying and arguing. This spitfire sign can handle a lot, but they absolutely cannot deal with no communication. In fact, the more you avoid Scorpio, the more likely they are to act out to get your attention.
SAGITTARIUS: November 23 - December 21
"Nobody cares what you think." A Sagittarius is one of the most helpful and thoughtful signs of the zodiac. They approach life from a realist perspective and aim to be true and correct in all they do. So when you tell this archer sign that their input isn't valued, you've basically invalidated their entire existance.
CAPRICORN: December 22 - January 18
"You should have done it this way." Questioning a Capricorn's choices makes them very, very upset. Not only are you inferring that they didn't make the right decision, but you're insinuating that you know more than they do. This sea-goat sign is headstrong but they're also incredibly wise when it comes to processes and techniques—meaning their way is probably the correct way, even if you don't know it yet.
AQUARIUS: January 19 - February 18
"You're so phony." Aquarius is one of the most authentic signs in the zodiac and have spent their lives carefully analyzing what matters to them and what doesn't. Any insinuation that they're less than real is not only wrong, it can be incredibly hurtful to their sense of self. But, instead of tears, Aquarius is likely to cut you out of their lives because they literally have no time for your BS.
PISCES: February 19 - March 20
"You're not wanted." Pisces works overtime to make sure the people in their lives know they are valued and cherished. To tell this fish sign that their presence isn't welcome is one of the most hurtful things of all. To not be wanted is to not belong and when a Pisces feels like they don't belong, it can make them feel lost and alone in the world.
