How to Remove Stains on Bakeware .

Now that warm weather has arrived in the Northern Hemisphere and we’re less likely to use our ovens and bakeware, here from eHow.com we have some tips and hints to refurbish those worn looking pieces we cherish and use to bake those special treats for our loved ones.
 
General wear and tear is expected to happen over time to your bakeware. Daily use and repeated washing of the bakeware can leave it stained with food, grease and rust. Replacing your bakeware can be expensive, and many of your used items may work perfectly except for the unsightly stain. Before tossing your old bakeware, try a few household tips to remove the stains and restore the look of your kitchen items.
 
Things You'll Need
 
- Pumice cleaner
- Abrasive pad
- Oven cleaner
- Plastic wrap
- Oven
- Hot soapy water
- Steel wool
- Baking soda
- Water
- Plastic mesh pad
- Distilled white vinegar
- Pot
- Magic eraser
 
Method 1
 
Step 1 Sprinkle pumice cleaner onto the rust stains
 
Step 2 Scrub the bakeware and cleaner with an abrasive pad until all rust is removed. If there is still rust present, continue to the next step.
 
Step 3 Spray the rust stains with oven cleaner. Wrap the bakeware in plastic and allow it to sit overnight.
 
Step 4 Unwrap the bakeware and heat the oven to 150 degrees F. Place the bakeware inside the oven for 20 minutes.
 
Step 5 Turn off the oven. Remove the bakeware and let it cool.
 
Step 6 Soak the bakeware in hot soapy water for 30 minutes. Scrub the bakeware with steel wool or a mesh plastic scrubber. Rinse and dry.
 
Method 2
 
Step 1 Create a paste of baking soda and warm water.
 
Step 2 Apply the paste to the area of the stain.
 
Step 3 Allow to sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
 
Step 4 Scrub the paste into the stain using a plastic mesh pad.
 
Step 5 Wash the bakeware with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
 
Method 3
 
Step 1 Combine equal parts water and distilled white vinegar into a pot and place on your stove top
 
Step 2 Bring the water-vinegar mixture to a boil and allow to cool to room temperature.
 
Step 3 Saturate a plastic mesh pad in the mixture and scrub the stain until removed.
 
Step 4 Rinse the bakeware with soapy water and dry.
 
Tips & Warnings
 
Dampen a magic eraser with water and scrub the stains until it disappears. Rinse the bakeware with warm soapy water and dry.
