As Venus retrograde progresses, we have some other planetary developments happening. Last week it was Mars going into Taurus, And this week it will be Mercury going into Aries tomorrow.
Most of us have probably noticed our thought processes have seemed rather fuzzy and not focused. When Mercury goes through Pisces that's usually what happens. There tends to be a lack of intent and a general malaise surrounding the thought functions. What really is happening, is that right brain has hijacked the left side of the brain, And we are off into space land. This would've been the time to use your mind creatively towards all sorts of fun things. Is just not a very good time to concentrate and analyze things.
Now that Mercury is moving into Aries, the mind has picked up speed and is moving forward very quickly. The nature of Aries is to discover things as though one hasn't ever seen those things before: Mercury in Aries will be about self discovery and self knowledge. The mind’s relationship is to itself, and its orientation is towards its own experience. It might look as though those with Mercury in Aries seem selfish, but in reality, the mind is completely subjective, and once it gets what it is learning about, they own it, and claim it for their own. Even to the point of actually creating what they’ve learned, even if someone else suggested it to them first (I have Mercury in Aries, so this is very personal for me!)
We go from the 12th sign to the 1st sign in order; so one is learning about its relationship to the universe, and the other is learning about its relationship to itself. It is a beginning of a new learning cycle; and as such, sometimes we just have to start again, and move forward. It would seem as though one versus the other could be a huge conflict, but either way, both have a unique perspective that none of the other placements of Mercury have. Sometimes the process of building something from the ground up, all the while looking for something that hasn’t happened before, the newness of something - is what Mercury in Aries reality principle is.
So, for the next three weeks, we will be looking for new opportunities to make things happen that we haven’t yet seen. Enjoy this process - because learning to be a pioneer is your way of thinking for the next month!
