Mars goes into the sign of Taurus on March 11. The nature of Mars has everything to do with the masculine side of us. Mars shows us what we will fight for, and what we’re most passionate about. With Mars going into the sign of Taurus, this will have to do with material things, and the physical universe. Taurus has to do with your own personal possessions; we will likely feel more materialistic during this time.
The timing of Mars going into Venus’s sign, is rather interesting, given that Venus has turned retrograde. This will add something to the function of beauty - whether or not you see it in yourself, or someone else does. Mars is the attracted-to factor, while Venus is attracting-from. Both of these planets will be set on course towards each other, so you can count the fact that your wanting someone or something will be assisted by Venus’ energy as it goes inwards.
Either way, both will be teaching something about our ability to love ourselves and others. Mars in Taurus is very measurable, because it is based in the physical, here-and-now universe. If we think we’ve not had enough, or too much - that will be shown to us. And Venus retrograde can somehow look at what has been given to us and weigh the value of it; and learn to appreciate it with a new set of eyes.
The next several weeks will be extremely interesting in the love-received/given situation. It will likely be pleasurable, so perhaps if we haven’t learned to enjoy it, or feel as though we have to earn that - we might find out that we can appreciate everything we have, no matter how its given to us.
